General Job Summary 

The Product Manager will design, create, and implement product management programs in support of the expansion and growth of the company’s services and products. Product Management activities include but are not limited to: new market assessments, product portfolio road-mapping, current product portfolio management, market price analyses, and the development of marketing-related case studies and technical product-related documentation.  The Product Manager will report to the Marketing Manager.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

    • Assess competitive product market landscape compared to current company offerings. 
    • Identify new market opportunities, own product road-mapping strategy and memorialization, and write technical product specifications for product development. 
    • Prepare and manage marketing launch plans for new products including sales goals, positioning strategy, sales argumentation, and associated collateral material. 
    • Develop specific market initiatives in support of corporate sales goals.  Implement initiatives, monitor results and act upon feedback.
    • Manage, layout, and compose communication mechanisms including presentations, case studies, papers, briefs and brochures in support of sales goals and to ensure alignment with the company’s corporate branding. 
    • Work with other departments as needed on current product pricing and pricing strategy. 
    • Align closely with sales teams, engineering teams, and industry contacts to uncover potential new product market opportunities, track current product success and provide internal feedback on product portfolios. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge Required  

    • Non-technical Bachelor’s degree acceptable with 5+ years industry experience.
    • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with consumable technical products.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
    • Microsoft Access Database management and/or other data manipulation tools preferred.

    • Highly detail-oriented and able to develop strong working relationships across teams and disciplines including colleagues located in other geographic regions. 
    • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstrated ability to handle many assignments simultaneously. 
    • Highly motivated self-starter able to respond to changing work activities with short deadlines. Needs to demonstrate initiative and ability to get buy-in and support for local initiatives. 
    • Ability to effectively communicate ideas & concepts and must possess a masterful writing ability. 
    • Efficiently work under pressure and deadlines to complete assigned tasks. 
    • Strong ability to effectively deal with customers and industry multipliers. 
    • Exhibit great creativity, resourcefulness, and problem solving.
    • Self-confident, team oriented, and outgoing personality.
